Numerous Tax Incentives Available

Our team of consultants is expert in claiming the tax credits and subsidies that are available from Quebec and Canada.

Quebec’s tax system offers numerous incentives for businesses. Specifically, there are 24 tax credits aimed primarily at making companies more competitive.

A Complex Claims Process

The process for claiming tax credits can be difficult to understand, particularly since some credits cannot be combined. The claim must therefore be based on identifying specific expenses and eligible activities and then matching these to the optimal combination of government programs. In addition, for certain tax credits, a certificate of eligibility must be obtained for the company and its employees.

For example, the design tax credit may be granted when a company uses either internal or outsourced design services. This tax credit allows a company with a certificate of eligibility to substantially reduce its income tax. The certificate is issued by the Ministère du Développement Économique, de l’Innovation et de l’Exportation (MDEIE, the Quebec Ministry of Economic Development, Innovation and Export Trade).

Identifying all Tax Incentives for which your Company is Eligible

Our team of consultants determines whether your company is eligible for one or more tax credits and/or subsidies. Based on this analysis, Leyton defines the optimal combination of tax credits and subsidies for maximum return on your investment. Leyton can help you obtain the certificate of eligibility you need and prepare the various documents that are required.
