Bell Aliant expands network in New Brunswick
The expansion plan of $ 80 million will enable access to FibreOP services in several communities, including the cities of Bathurst and Miramichi, and for the Moncton, Dieppe and Riverview and the Saint-Jean.
By 2010, service fiber optic Aliant will be available in 35 percent of the province and the company intends to raise that figure to 45 percent in 2011.
New Brunswick provides financial support of $ 1 million project.
Prime Minister Shawn Graham said that the advent of fiber optics in these regions contribute to economic development.
